Ok so I just began my last semester of my Graphic Design degree and as of May I will finally be a college graduate. As much as I love Graphic Design and the structure of school I couldn't be more thrilled. Amongst all the warnings of the bad economy, lost jobs, and hiring freezes I am ready to get out there and be a career women. Because I'm in school most people assume I'm somewhere between 20 and 23 but I'm 27 and ready to join my friends who did the four or five year thing right out of high school. If any of you know of anything in the Graphic Design field I would appreciate a shout out my way.

Last Wednesday we got out first project of the semester. We are to take a product that cost under a dollar and do a packaging redesign. We have to create not only a redesigned package but a billboard, a leave behind (the thing you leave behind with the client so they will remember who you are and what your idea for their product was.) and something that will be displayed in the grocery store isle where the product is sold. Since I've always been known to take the easy rout when presented with the chance I choose to do Best Chose wooden matches I was thinking I would do a series of match boxes that would be sold not only on a grocery store isle but also up front with the lighters. I was thinking about doing match boxes that can be sold together or separately and have designs or pictures on them that people would want to collect every different one until they had a complete set. If any of you have any suggestions or ideas I would appreciate all the help and ideas I can get. I know like with every project up to now, that that wonderful idea will strike me in the middle of the night but until it does I'm collecting any inspiration and ideas I can get.
